Virginia Moura Gouveia has an M.Sc degree in Biomedical Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering, University of Porto, Portugal. For the last two years, Virginia has become passionate about the enormous potential that nanotechnology has regarding precision medicine to enhance and hence revolutionise current therapeutics and theranostics. In this way, during her doctoral studies, Virginia has been involved in research projects in the field of nanomedicine with focus on the development of innovating target-to-treat drug delivery systems for inflammation therapy.
